One Man Star Wars Trilogy Highlights
It is a fantastic Off-Broadway production written and performed by Canadian actor Charles Ross and directed by TJ Dawe, based on the classic Star Wars trilogy. The play is 75 minutes long. Charles Ross conducts all of the characters, replicates the effects, inserts factoids as needed, sings from John Williams’ score, pilots the ships, and fights on both sides of the wars. The idea came from a game of Frisbee with friends in which the thrower would speak a line from a movie while receiving, and the catcher had to say the following line while hooking.

Ross’ personality is delightful, from breaching the fourth wall to mock his impressions to bringing out the volume of spit pouring from his mouth during sound effects. The Programme relies on inside jokes and arcane references to connect with the audience, but it does it genuinely.
Ross has also used the idea in other cinematic trilogies, such as The One Man The Lord of the Rings, from 2004 to 2005. The creative property owner instructed him to stop performing.
