Guys and Dolls is a musical by Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling. And is based on two short films by Damon Runyon “The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown” and “Blood Pressure”. The story revolves around two unlikely pairs and how they fall in love given the circumstances. Nathan Detroit needs to set up a crap game but is short on money. He makes a bet with Sky Masterson for $1000. Now Sky needs to get Sarah Brown to go with him to Havana. All while Miss Adelaide, Nathan’s fiancée of 14 years, keeps telling him to marry her already.
